Thursday - "Can I jump into this puddle?"
The boys enjoy and celebrated our last session of Team Edition - River Trekking.

Our theme of "Against the Stream" was best taught walking against the current of Clear Creek in our 'River Trekking' session.
In this session, we told the boys that when you are born again and live life with Jesus, it means you are not from this world anymore -- instead you have an eternal spirit from God's world which means you do things differently than the world wants you to. It can be challenging and exhausting, but it is the way to stay in relationship with God and bring his kingdom to earth. We shared the scripture of John 17:14-16
"I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it."
Preparing for the adventure
We had a lot of excitement coming up on the bus ride to the creek and getting the waterproofed pants on. It was a lot of fun experiencing to walk with some XXXL pants. 🤣 We got some great pictures. That was such a fun time together! The boys looked forward to this hike for a very long time, and they waited patiently for the storm to clear so that they could get out there and enjoy this adventure!
First testing of the pants in a puddle
The adventure began as we tested the pants in a giant puddle. We could feel the cold temperature of the water but didn't get wet. The pants are proofed for our final destination.
Team challenge in the creek
The storm really filled the creek to overflowing, so we stayed on the safe side of the creek close to the shore and had hiked together as a team connected by a rope. We walked together upstream and it was a lot of fun! Afterwards the guys enjoyed the pants in the water at the shore, throwing rocks and building a bridge.
Our walk back
On the hike we had big smiles on our faces and had a lot of fun taking the last pictures at the bus. What a last great experience for our Team Edition! We are excited to meet everybody again for our next adventure!
