Tuesday - "We survived a hail-storm"
In this session, the boys compete against each other in a series of sports and games as a prophetic act to 'run the race of faith' with endurance and perseverance.

We asked the boys, "Are there any scriptures that talk about sports in the Bible?" They were shocked to find out we had a verse about athletics.
We talked about what it means to have perseverance and endurance in life, and what it looks like to live a life of faith with Jesus inside of you.
1 Corinthians 9:23-25 "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever."
Then we launched into playing a series of sports & games and had the best time ever! Here are the photos from our different events:
Basketball
Then we headed over to the field for some shotput!
But soon after, we got caught in a hail storm and fled for cover to Cinder's Pizza. Luckily, we were able to incorporate a brain game into our olympics while we were there.
Then the sun came out so we headed back to Caldwell park to finish our day with some soccer and the best part of all -- wrestling in the bubble sumo suits!
We ended the session by enjoying some chocolate cupcakes with gold sprinkles, hot chocolate, and celebrating the team who won. This was such a fun time with the boys, and a reminder of all the time we spent with them in nature on Summit Seekers!
